Travelling from Yosemite Pines to Lake Tahoe

The drive from Yosemite Pines to Lake tahoe was again through some very small and twisty roads and over some mountains reaching 6,000 feet however the scenery was interesting. On the approach to Lake Tahoe we encountered snow in the mountains but the roads were clear and as we decended onto Lake Tahoe it cleared to overcast and cloudy weather.

Departing Yosemite Pines RV Park

Encountering snow as we go up through the mountains near Lake Tahoe.

Lots of snow.

First sight of Lake Tahoe
The weather atour camp site KOA Lake Tahoe http://koa.com/campgrounds/lake-tahoe/ is cold - round about 4 degrees C but at least it is not raining and according to the weather forecast it is supposed to improve later on in the week

Our vehicles have been running flawlessly with no further signs of the bad fuel that we picked up at Monument Valley so I can issue a word of caution here to travellers, only buy fuel where there is a lot of usage as to do otherwise invites trouble.

Betty spotted this little birn outside our RV just as we were setting up camp.
