Three Rivers

Three Rivers, gateway to Sequoia National Park is a small town about 3 miles from the  park. We are staying at the Three Rivers Hideaway which is a dump and more like a Shanty Town than a RV park. There are quite a few  "permanents" which are poorly kept and very much at the lower end of the socio-economic ladder (sorry to sound like snobs) but that's how this site is. The sites are quite narrow and first impression is sardines in a tin.
There is only 1 washing machine and 1 dryer to service the whole site. Our friend Nola finally got her laundry done after 7 attempts, as the washer was constantly in use.  On notifying the manager of the site of the situation, she was told "permanents" come first.  The only good thing about this site is the beautiful river that runs along it and they cannot take credit for it. Give this place a wide berth!!

Tomorrow is a big day with a drive through Sequoia Nation Park to see the largest trees in the world.

  1. We didn't make Sequoia NP, but went up the californian coast and saw the giant redwoods instead. Amazing. Enjoy your travels.
