Movin on from Three Rivers to Yosemite Pines RV Resort

Today we had what was expected to be an easy drive of about 186 miles north to a place called Groveland, California which is close to the north western entry to Yosemite National Park. The RV website gave specific instructions to follow a certain route as the recommended route by GPS was a very roughroad in rough condition. We followed their instructions and all I can say is that I would hate to have gone the other  route as the one we took although in not bad condition was narrow and twisty.

Have a look at the pictures Betty took along the way.

Betty: although the "highway" was more like the country lanes one would find in Scotland, there were some pretty country side views.  If Thailand is the "rice bowl" of Asia, then California must be the "fruit bowl" of the US.  We passed heaps of orange and peach orchards, olive groves, "Sunmaid" raisins vineyards.  Also saw quite a few fine looking "steaks on 4 legs" grazing in the rain.

Last view of Lake Kaweah, 3 Rivers

And this is a Californian State Highway, I hate to see what there other road was like. It was not dangerous just very tight.

Single Lane "Country" road

Arriving into Groveland

Arriving at our destination of Groveland.
Not much of a town, our RV Camp is about 15 miles the other side of town on what is known as Old Highway 120, I hope that it is not any older than the road we have been on.
