Salem Golf Club

SORRY FOLKS THE BLOG EDITOR WAS DOWN FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS.

After a few days of relaxing and enjoying ourselves today we played Salem Golf Club http://salemgolfclub.com/ which is a municipal golf course dating back to 1920, it is an old traditional course but it is in perfect condition and a joy to play.

The main club house built from timber and brick is a very attractive building with a nice verenda looking down the 1st fairway.

The formal entry to the Salem Golf Club.

A view looking past the trophies to the members bar.

The dining room which is operated as a separate business and is known as Rudy's, it serves great food.

The first fairway looking back at the clubhouse.

The first fairway looking towards the flag - lots of unforgiving trees.

Betty showing how to get out of fairway bunkers - wish I had that finish.

Betty with Robie and Sharon.

What can I say - gravity is stronger here.
