What a contrast....at Bryce Canyon we were looking down into the canyons and Zion we are looking up. How can I describe the colours of Zion to you?..imagine the colours of scalloped sweet potatoes mixed with regular potatoes then top it all with cheese and parsley..that's how diverse it is.
Of the 3 canyons, Bryce sits on top with water/rainfall from the 11,.000ft high Colorado Plateau flowing down on to Zion and finally into the Grand Canyon.
Our 2 highlights at Zion was spotting a herd of goats cropping at the vegetation and also meeting a couple with an "Australian Sheep" dog. Gracie was so sweet, she has one blue and one brown eye.

I thought I was having a case of déja vu until I realised you had duplicated the photos from the blog entry before. Ha ha. Didn't see any photos of the hoodoos at Bryce Canyon, but you captured the colours of Zion well. We are one hour out of Seattle. Pull in there tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteLove catching up on your adventures guys. Wonderful photos, great work Tom and Betty.
