Drive from Williams to Monument Valley, Utah

Yesterday we had about a four hour drive from Williams, Arizona to Monument Valley in Utah with a one hour time zone change and the drive was through some amazing countryside with constantly changing types of scenery from pine forrest to open plains to mountains like no others I have seen.

Here is a selection of photos from the trip. Most of the photos have been taken through the car windows so they are not of the best quality.

Leaving Williams, Arizona

Stopped for lunch and of all things we had Chinese in the middle of the desert.

Now we are starting to see signs of the rock formations of Monument Valley.

Arriving at Monument Valley in Utah
First sighting of the RV Camp site Gouldings http://www.gouldings.com/

Setting up camp in a nice spot

Lots of dust but the scenery is beutiful

We are really looking forward to seeing the sites where so many western movies have been made.
