Monument Valley, Utah - John Wayne country

The pictures say it all about this place, the landscape is impressive and the colours are a vivid red I hope that you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed the scenery. You can just imagine John Wayne in one of his many movies being chased by the Indians in a stagecoach.

On the last leg of the drive around the dirt road we had a bit of a surprise, we had to negotiate a steep rise with the road covered in very loose deep sand. The truck kept getting bogged down in the deep sand and it took many attempts to find a path through it and in the meantime the truck was bouncing all over the place - Betty was not a happy little lady.

End of an exiting day driving around Monument Valley which was one of my dreams to do.
