Tucson Arizona

Tucson is a desert town in southern Arizona with clear blue sky that goes on for ever and the weather is warm to hot during the day and cool at night so great for sleeping.

We have been joined by our friends Robie and Sharon Furlong who are an American couple that have been RV'ing for about the last 5 years and they have just driven over from Atlanta, Georgia to Tucson where we have met up with them at the Desert Diamond Casino http://www.ddcaz.com/ where we will be spending our first couple of nights.

The good thing about camping at the Casino is that it is free and also has good food and toilet facilities etc. plus it is partolled and therefore secure, the disadvantage as we were to find out is that it is next to a freeway and you suffer the road noise all night plus you have to run your generator for power and at $4.50 a gallon you use up a lot of gas (petrol) real quick.

We moved 11 miles up the road to a full service drive trhough RV lot called Rincon Country West http://rinconcountry.com/ and have now set up camp for a week, it is a very nice desert site with beutiful mountain views and all sorts of cactus.
