15th July 2012 - West Yellowstone, Montana
Left Butte, MT after dry camping at the Walmart Supercentre. Arrived at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park and Cabins. It is a beautifully appointed RV Park, a little pricey but well worth the extra $$.
The Rv Park is coveniently located near the West entrance to Yellowstone National Park and within walking distance of the main tourist area.
As one would expect, there are numerous motels, hotels etc. in this area. The Hibernation Station Motel was one of them, just a stone's throw from the Rv Park. This lovely mural is done on planks of wood.
Just metres inside the entrance was this magnificent sculpture of 2 male elks.
Tom and I took a walk around town and on the way back to the RV Park spotted this disused building which appeared to be an old railway premises. Lovely stone architecture.
